Daily Gaming Tidbits 06/18/09
- Xbox LIVE Silver members are being offered to upgrade their accounts for $1 for the first month. Once the month is over, the regular pricing kicks in & the credit card will be charged for the other 11 months (unless you opt out of that).
- The pre-order bonus for Halo 3 ODST has been announced. Lock in your copy of the game early & receive Sgt Johnson as a playable character.
- PSN Bionic Commandos, there is a new update for you. Bionic Commando: Rearmed has a new update that will provide trophy support.
- Capcom announced today that MotoGP 09/10 is coming to the Xbox 360 & PS3 in March of 2010.
- Take-Two’s Strauss Zelnick is predicting Bioshock 2 will break 5 million units sold. Considering it’s multiplatform, if it’s as good as the first game, that may be a reasonable figure…
- Activision has announced that their second map pack for Call of Duty: World at War has already sold over a million copies. Keep in mind that it was just released last week.
- Just as a reminder, Metal Gear Solid is available today on the PSN for $10. It is compatible with the PS3 & PSP.
- The Splatterhouse remake/reimagining has been delayed to 2010.
- Flock for PC has received an update. My only question is: When are we going to get it on LIVE? Here is what the patch nets you:
Rabbits: The cutest animal yet to be Flocked, they breed like crazy!
Burrowing Tunnels: Rabbits need a home too, so we’ve given them some nice carrot patches to dig up… the resulting tunnel can transport any animal, multiplying the fun!
Giant Carrot: This massive, succulent vegetable will get all the animals going hunger-mad, devouring it any chance they get. Pick this bad boy up, and watch as they follow you anywhere!
New Campaign: Of course all these wonderful new features would be nothing without a few fiendish and fun levels to experience them on! 6 brand spanking new levels await to test your Flock! skills… if you get the best medals, you’ll unlock all these goodies plus two special trophy objects to put into your own levels!
Level Editor tweaks: We’ve spent some time polishing up the Level Editor too, so if you’re a fan of making your own levels to share, or if this is your first time dabbling with our tools, then you’ll be sure to find it even easier than before!
