The Return!

The Return!

I’m sorry & thank you……………… I know, that’s a bit of an abrupt way to begin my first post in a month. In fact, I’ve been thinking about this piece for the last 4 days, trying to figure out exactly what to say. I had many ideas, but only those 5 words really stuck out & actually meant anything to me. I wanted to apologize to everyone. Even though I understand that I can’t completly own everything that has happened, I still felt throughout the last 4 weeks that I let a lot of people down. The readership on this site was expanding by leaps & bounds & I had 5 or 6 reviews on the calendar that I was working on along with one contest that I never fulfilled. I basically just dropped off the face of the planet. I wont to draw out any of the epic details here for public consumption though. I’m just going to say that my life has been turned upside down & inside out. Here I sit, a month later & I’m still putting the pieces back together & trying to start all over again. So I want to say I’m sorry. I’m sorry to those of you who come here to check out my impressions of the daily news or to see my thoughts on a given game. I want to apologize to all the developers & publishers out there as well, as I know I have damaged my relationship with some of you by not fulfilling my obligations.

At the same time, I want to thank everyone. Through Twitter & Facebook, some folks are aware of some of the things I have been going through & the out-pouring of support has been phenomenal! I’m relatively new to this industry, in fact this site hasn’t even hit it’s one year anniversary. But the relationships I have developed turned out to number much higher than I ever even realizied. Thank you! If not for all of you, my plans for this site may have turned out much different than what they are right now. Which leads me to the burning question that even I didn’t have the answer to until about a week & a half ago: What now? I’m happy to say that Quagmire’s Kingdom is going nowhere!. Yep, I’m back. Now, I have a lot of things to do in my life these days in order to not only close the previous chapter, but to start writing the next one. So I won’t be sitting here all day writing as hot & heavy as I was over the summer. But I wil be covering as much news as I possibly can. I also plan to revisit the outstanding reviews that I haven’t done. So over the next few weeks, look for reviews on C&C: Commander’s Challenge (360), Demon Souls (PS3), Persona (PSP), Uncharted 2 (PS3), Guitar Hero: Van Halen (360) & I even will be looking at a couple of Triton headsets (putting them toe-to-toe with the Turtle Beach X4). I would love to go back & take a look at some of the things that have released over the last month or so, like the PSP Go, Halo 3: ODSTMarvel Ultimate Alliance 2, Brutal Legend, etc…, but with how terrible my finances are right now, I’m fully at the mercy of the generosity of the publishers & developers. So it isn’t likely I will be able to go back to anything I’ve missed. I do have Modern Warfare 2 & Assassin’s Creed 2 on tap next month because I had already paid for my pre-orders before everything happened. But beyond that, I don’t know what the future holds for the reviews section.

So there it is everyone. Quagmire Kingdom has had a bit of a set back, but it’s still alive & kicking! I’m going to begin working on my outstanding reviews this week, so look for something hit soon. Those of you who entered the WET contest, as soon as I find the shirts, I’ll be in touch. I may have another contest coming up here pretty soon too! Oh, & before I forget, my mailing address is different now, so if there is anything being sent my way, shoot me an email so I can update my mailing info. Email & cell info is all the same…

Glad to see you back! On your reviews though, I think that there is an embargo with writing the Van Halen review before it is released on Dec 22nd. Just a little info for ya.

Yep, I know. It’s just one of the titles on tap in the coming months, since I’m not sure how much developer/publisher support I have right now…
