Daily Gaming Tidbits 10/19/09

  • I’ll start this edition off with a question: How is Rock Band for iPhone/iTouch? As a huge fan of the franchise, I’m curious to see how it transitioned over. Is it just a touch screen version of Unplugged? Anyway, the good folks at EA Mobile announced a couple of songs that are available now for free! Connect up to the store & pick up “Science Genius Girl” & “Super-Sprode”, both from Freezepop…
  • The Playstation 3 is going to get a bit ‘Odd’ this week. Beginning this Thursday, October 22nd, look for both of the classic PSOne Oddworld games on the Playstation Store. Abe’s Oddysee & Abe’s Exodus will be available for $9.99 each…
  • Beatles Rock Band is getting a new DLC album. Arguably one of the best records made by the Fab Four, Abby Road, will be available this week on the Wii, Playstation 3, & Xbox 360…
  • Looks like Atlus USA under estimated the demand for their latest RPG for the Playstation 3, Demon’s Souls. The release supply must be dwindling as they announced today that they are pressing more copies in order to resupply store shelves. In addition, the Deluxe version of the game is now officially discontinued, so if you see one, you may want to consider picking it up. I had actually just began to review it when things turned hairy for me personally, so I can’t say much about it beyond the fact that it had a lot of potential. With that said, the reviews from other sites such as Gamespot, IGN, etc… have been very positive. Look for my review on it in the coming weeks…
