Daily Gaming Tidbits 11/05/09

I know, I haven’t been too “daily” with my tidbits posts lately. My time in front of the PC isn’t as robust as it used to be, so right now the Tidbits posts are a bit sporadic. I may do away with them altogether in exchange for more focused, dedicated posts on the bigger stuff. I’m still kicking it around right now. Anyway, on to today’s updates…

  • If you’re on the hunt for a copy of Lego Rock Band (I know I am), but are hesitant to cover the $50 price point, Old Navy stores & Black Friday might be your calling. As per the image below, if you go to Old Navy on Black Friday (that’s the day after Thanksgiving for the uninitiated) & spend $20, you’ll get a copy of Lego Rock Band for free. Of course, supplies are limited to quantities on hand & there is no indication of which platforms will be available (I’m assuming all of them)…

  • February 9th, 2010 will be another date to enter into the Halo-verse. Halo Legends anime sorts will hit both DVD & Blu-Ray…
  • Playstation Qore subscribers will get the “first in a series of Playstation Classics” in this month’s issue. The game? Blasto from the PSOne… UPDATE: Just to be clear, these are Playstation classic themes, not playable games…
  • Atlus has announced a first-person sci-fi RPG for the DS called Shin Megami Tensei®: Strange Journey (screens below)…

  • Blizzard is now doing micro-transaction pets for World of Warcraft. For $10, you can get yourself a mini-lich or a Pandaran Monk from the Pet Store. The pets are pretty much just cosmetic, as neither one will impact combat in any way…
