Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 Expands Roster

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 Expands Roster

I’m actually a bit bummed. As a life-long comic geek & Marvel fan, just about any game based on one of their properties piques my interest. I was in heaven when the large roster titles started coming out like X-Men Legends & it’s sequel on the original Xbox. I picked up the first Ultimate Alliance at launch both for my Xbox 360 & my Playstation 2 (my son & I spent many, many hours on the Playstation 2 version). So when the sequel was announced, I was extremely hyped to say the least. Unfortunately due to some issues here at home, I missed out on the launch & it looks like the only way I’ll be getting it any time soon will be if I can track Santa down & start groveling at his feet. Today made that feeling a bit more urgent as not only did the demo launch for Xbox LIVE Gold members today, but the new roster-expanding DLC pack launched as well.

Activison added five new heroes to the game & they will only be available until December 31st, 2009 (before you ask, I have no idea why it’s time limited). Magneto, Black Panther, Carnage (one of my all-time favorite villains), Psylocke & Cable will be available in a single pack that will run 800MP on the Xbox 360 or $9.99 on the Playstation 3. In addition the new characters, there wil also be new boss encounter, four new challenge mission & more. Also available today is Juggernaut. Remember, he was a pre-order freebie from Gamestop. Now, players who didn’t pre-order the game can add him to their team for 160MP or $1.99.

Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m gonna go play through the demo again (it’ll be my 4 time through it)… Submit Button
