cdv Software announced a pre-order bonus program for their upcoming RPG, Divinity II: Ego Draconis. Interested? You should be. Divinity II is a sequel to the PC-only role-players Divine Divinity & Beyond Divinity, both of which were solid games garnering mixed (the latter) to favorable (the former) reviews from the critics. Divine Divinity was very similar to Diablo in both look & feel, but it was a much deeper experience than the well loved Blizzard franchise. The next chapter in the series will change things up a bit, first by launching on PC & the Xbox 360 in January. Larian Studios will also be pulling back the camera a bit for a more action role-play experience. Fans of the first game may be a bit turned off by this change, but after some time checking it out at PAX, I would suggest you roll those dice again & give it a shot. The quest system will be “multifaceted”, allowing for several different ways to complete them. A classless system will encourage players to develop their characters any way they want. But the most interesting part is the shape-shifting. You’ll be able to shift between human & dragon form. This will open up the game world considerably allowing you to fly up to places that would be unattainable for a more aero-challenged character. Now, as a pre0order incentive, cdv Software is offering the Blood Echelon armor & weapon set. “The Blood Echelon is a select lodge of elite Dragon Slayers who have earned the highest of distinctions on the battlefield.” Pre-order the Xbox 360 version from GameStop here…
