Daily Gaming Tidbits 11/09/09

  • In case you’ve been media-challenged for the last 6 months, as of this writing, Modern Warfare 2, arguably the most anticipated game ever, is now available in the eastern United States…
  • Social network games creator Playfish has been gobbled up by EA for $275 million…
  • Speaking of EA, they also announced a rather large scale lay-off across at least four different divisions (Tiburon, Redwood Shores, Black Box, and Mythic). • 1 vs 100 Season 2 will begin on November 19th in the US & Canada….
  • Medal of Honor, the WWII FPS king before it was dethroned by the Call of Duty franchise, is looking like it’s going to get a much needed reboot from EA. Look for more info “in the coming months”…
  • A book based on the upcoming Ubisoft game Assassin’s Creed II will be available on November 26th. Subtitled Renaissance, look for it to touch on the early years of the hero Ezio along with the Lineage short films…
