It was hinted at last month when hackers took the Left 4 Dead 2 PC demo apart. Now, Valve has made it official: Zoey, Francis, Bill & Louis have gone south to the Georgia region & will meet up with Coach, Ellis, Nick & Rochelle. Dubbed The Passing, it’ll bring the fab four from the first game into the region of Left 4 Dead 2. The DLC pack will add a new co-op campaign, a new co-op challenge mode plus new places to play in during your Scavenge, Versus, & Survival matches. In addition, players will have a new Uncommon Infected to battle, a new melee weapon & a new gun to shoot.

“The Passing will become the most important campaign in the Left 4 Dead story, as all the Survivors are being called together in one campaign,” said Doug Lombardi, VP of marketing at Valve. “It will also be a huge offering of new gameplay content, with something new for every game mode plus a new uncommon common and weaponry.”

Obviously it’ll be exclusive to the Xbox 360 & PC (considering those are the only platforms Left 4 Dead 2 is available on) & is set to launch this Spring.
