Metro 2033, a post-apocalyptic FPS set in future Moscow, has been a brightly lit beacon on my horizon ever since I saw the first set of screens back in October. There’s just something about the torn-up-future setting that appeals to me, so I’m automatically drawn to just about any game that can bring me there. Fortunately, THQ looks like they’re on track to launch a solid shooter experience. In fact, they are so confident in the quality of the title, they have put together a Limited Edition package. What’s in it? Unfortunately, not much. Futuristic warriors who grab this version will be treated to a special in game weapon (the Automatic Shotgun) & four art cards by Russian painter Anton Grechko. Yep, that’s it. No pricing was announced, but if it follows the “normal” price schedule, then it should set you back an additional $10 over the regular version. I’m sorry, but for that extra $10, I’m going to need more than a single in-game weapon & 4 art cards. This by no means shakes my faith in the title though. I’m still looking forward to it & now I have a solid release date to mark on my calendar: March 16th for the Xbox 360 & Windows (Playstation 3 players will be busy with God of War III)…
