Sackboy Is A ‘Luvre’

This week is celebrated as a week of all things love. With heart merchandising infecting every retail store before Santa could get back up the chimney, we’ve been besieged by chocolates, flowers & the color red at every turn. Valentines is a holiday that’s truly designed to make men everywhere feel guilty because they didn’t do enough for their significant other (I’m not jaded, am I?). Anyway, joining in the themed fray is Media Molecule’s user created platformer, Little Big Planet.

First up is the free Luvre Sackboy costume for the PSP, which looks a little odd to me, almost like a sumo wrestler with a heart on his head (check out the pic above). Next is the Lovre theme pack for the PSP, providing 15 Valentine’s Day-themed stickers & 4 costumes for just under $3. Fret not all you non-portable players, the Playstation 3 has been invited to this love-fest as well! The Valentine’s Day Mini Pack will add “a special Cupid outfit, 10 love-themed stickers, lots of objects and 5 different types of materials” for $2.99. Console players will also have the option to grab the Chinese New Year Costumes for free. But, keep in mind, all these items will be available this week (read: Feb 11th) & will disappear on Feb 25th (well, for sure the Playstation 3 items will, but I’m assuming the PSP downloads will go away too)…
