Dante’s Inferno Live Chat

With Dante going to Hell tomorrow, there’s a lot of launch festivities planned for what was probably the most uniquely marketed game ever. For those out of the loop, Dante’s Inferno is an Action/Adventure game from EA’s Visceral Games based on part one of Dante Alighieri’s fourteenth-century poem, the Divine Comedy. It follows Dante’s quest to free his beloved from the Underworld. In the process, he’ll have to traverse the nine circles of Hell (Limbo, Lust, Gluttony, Greed, Wrath, Heresy, Violence, Fraud & Treason), atoning for his past sins along the way. I’ve had a chance to check it out at PAX 09 along with the currently available demos & let me tell you, it plays very similar to Sony’s God of War franchise. So, if you’re a fan of that style of gameplay (& really, who isn’t?), then Dante should be on your shopping list tomorrow. To celebrate the release of Electronic Arts’ Dante’s Inferno, the Dante’s team is hosting a CoveritLive event on the game’s launch day, tomorrow, February 9th.

Dante’s fans will be able to chat live with the Dante’s production team from 2-5pm PST, as they drop in to answer questions, hear feedback, and offer anecdotes from behind the scenes during production.

The event schedule is as follows:

5:00 – 5:45 pm EST = Vince Napoli, Combat Designer
5:45-6:30 pm EST = Zach Mumbach, Assistant Producer
6:30-7:15 pm EST = Jonathan Knight, EP
7:15-8:00 pm EST= Justin Lambros, Producer
