Midway Leaves The Marketplace

Got a hankering for some old school Smash TV action on your Xbox 360? Well, hopefully you picked it up already as it’s no longer available on the Xbox LIVE Marketplace. In fact, there’s a handful of Midway arcade titles that are now MIA including Cyberball, Defender, Paperboy, Root Beer Tapper, Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3, Robotron 2084, Joust, & Gauntlet. Remember when Midway’s financial difficulties became headlines & Warner Bros picked up the majority of Midway’s properties? Well, this is the fallout from that. As licenses change hands, old contracts become null & void. Will they come back to the Marketplace? Who knows. But, smart money says they will at some point or another, especially if Game Room proves successful…
