Our 360’s are getting cleaned up with this week’s “Days Of Arcade” release, The Dishwasher: Dead Samurai. First revealed as an XNA title at GDC 2008, Dead Samurai is finally hitting XBLA for 800MP. It’s described as a ‘2D, side-scrolling, three-player co-op beat ‘em up’ game. The game’s hero is a lowly dishwasher (the occupation, not the appliance) who has lost everything, including his heart, at the hands of the deceptive and evil cyborg movement and is seeking revenge against a mechanized soulless army. Created by James Silva (Ska Studios), The Dishwasher has arcade co-op, drop-in solo campaign co-op, and drop-in solo phantom guitar co-op using the guitar peripheral. Phantom guitar players can unload electric death by playing wicked solos, perform basic movement, and use the guitar’s motion control to rip through enemies with a razor-sharp headstock. Yeah, you read that right, guitar solos using the guitar controller. This Dream-Build-Play contest winner hits the XBLM on Wednesday.
