Daily Gaming Tidbits 05/08/09

  • According to Kotaku, Activision is going to let us know more about the next Tony Hawk game at E3.
  • Nintendo has announced they plan to remake Pokemon Gold & Silver. The new iterations will be called Pokeman Heart Gold & Soul Silver. Set to hit Japan later this year, my guess is we won’t see it in North America until Spring 2010.
  • The Mac version of The Path has been released as a $10 download.
  • A few new pages have been added. Droplitz, Gel: Set & Match, Gunstar Heroes, & Shinobi.
  • Contra Rebirth is coming to WiiWare in Japan next week. Should be coming to North America at some point as well.

  • Majesco will be showing Cooking Mama 3 at E3
  • EA’s 3rd entry in the massively popular The Sims franchise has officially gone gold. Look for an online & retail launch on June 3rd.
  • Microsoft will be having a ‘first to play’ event for the upcoming Gears of War 2 Dark Corners map pack. It’ll be next Friday, May 15 at the Experience Music Project|Science Fiction Museum and Hall of Fame in Seattle. Attendance is limited to the first 800 who show up, but those who get in will get to play with 20 kiosks featuring the new multiplayer content. The event will also feature a panel with Epic Games president Michael Capps and Gears 2 writer Joshua Ortega.
