REMINDER: Hungering for a taste of Final Fantasy XIII? Square Enix is giving gamers an early sample with a Final Fantasy XIII bus tour. As announced back at GamesCon, Sony launched their Digital Comic Reader application a few weeks ago with their firmware 6.20 update. Initially, they handed out some free comics so users had something to test the app out with, but that was it. Now, the wait is finally over as you can now do some shopping in their Digital Comic Store. Surprisingly, there’s a lot to choose from considering this is the launch selection. Ever since 2003, Spike TV has had their annual awards show honoring the best the video game industry has to offer. At the beginning, it was terrible. I remember watching the first show & it seemed more like a huge marketing campaign than an show honoring the best the industry has to offer. But over the years, Spike has honed their event toward a more respectable level. Although this year still held some pandering & over-marketing, it was still far better than their first one. The second DLC pack for 2k Games RPS Borderlands has been announced. Titled Mad Moxxi’s Underdome Riot, it’s said to expand on the Riot mode, providing 3 new arenas, a banking feature (which amounts to more storage) & 2 more skill points. Finally! The latest PixelJunk title is out! Alright, I’ll admit, after watching this one develop, I can’t say the gameplay sold me. But as a fan of their previous work like Monsters, the name “PixelJunk” is enough to plop it down on my radar. There hasn’t been a single Lego-adaption game that I wasn’t hyped about. Star Wars, Batman, Indy & now Harry Potter. I don’t know what it is about them because to be honest, the gameplay gets a bit bland after awhile. SouthPeak announced yesterday they would be bringing TNA IMPACT: Cross The Line to the DS & Playstation Portable later this winter. No more details were given, but it’s safe to assume that all the major players will be ther including names like Samoa Joe, Kurt Angle & AJ Styles.
