Two New Prince Of Persia Images

Two New Prince Of Persia Images
You know, I disagree with all the grumblings about Prince of Persia. A lot of people I know have panned it already. First, with Jerry Bruckeimer directing & then the casting of Jake Gyllenhaal as Prince Dastan, a ton of folk I know said Sands of Time would flop. Personally, I’m seeing a National Treasure kind of success here. The more pics I see, the stronger I feel that way. I know that Gyllenhall isn’t on the top of everyone’s list, but I think the casting is perfect. He’s a fairly underated performer. Don’t forget, he was on tap to replace Toby Maguire in Spider-Man...

Sherlock Holmes Trailer #2

Sherlock Holmes Trailer #2
I don’t know about the rest of you, but the more I see of this film, the more excited I get. I know that a lot of you aren’t fans of Guy Ritchie, but I’m cetainly giving this one the benefit of the doubt. I don’t know what it is exactly, I think it may just be the humor & swagger that Robert Downey Jr brings to the character. Trailer #2 doesn’t give us a whole lot of new stuff when compared to the first one, but you will see some new bits if you pay attention. If you missed the first trailer, I have it here, but keep in mind the presentation isn’t real good...

The First Sherlock Holmes Trailer

I must admit, when I first heard about this film, I had my doubts. I just couldn’t picture Robert Downey Jr as Sherlock Holmes. After seeing the trailer though, if the film is as good as it looks, I will never doubt Downey again. Ever. Technorati Tags: Sherlock Holmes,Robert Downey Jr,Guy Ritchie Bookmark It Hide Sites

‘Cliffhanger’ Hangs Again

Sylvester Stallone released a film back in 1993 called Cliffhanger. The film centered on his character (who is a climbing expert) being forced to assist a group of hijackers who need to get to the top of a mountain to retrieve a briefcase that contains 100 million dollars. It was financially successful, bringing in a total of $255 million at the box office. Bookmark It Hide Sites

Gamer Movie Trailer

I caught this on Xbox Live either last night or the night before. Looks pretty cool. Lets see how the script holds up. Usually movies like this look cool, but the script is terrible. It stars Gerard Butler (300), Alison Lohman (Beowulf, Drag Me To Hell), & Milo Ventimiglia (Heroes, Rocky Balboa). Let me know what you think in the comments… Technorati Tags: Gamer,Theatrical Trailer,Gerard Butler,Alison Lohman,Milo Ventimiglia Bookmark It Hide Sites

Daily TV/Movie Tidbits 05/11/09

The new Star Trek film has had a fantastic opening weekend, bringing in $72.5 million on approximately 7,400 screens. I’m guessing a sequel is pretty much a lock. Keanu Reeves is attached to star in a contemporary retelling of the Robert Louis Stevenson classic The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde for Universal Pictures. Bookmark It Hide Sites

Some Prince Of Persia Film Footage

At first, I was a bit leery about seeing the prince go to the big screen. The entire hitch of the series is the time manipulation aspect, which I felt would be gimmicky at best on the big screen. We have yet to see an official trailer, but we are getting a small taste in the below (Jerry) Bruckheimer interview. Sadly, still no info on how the time travel will be presented (if at all), but it does look pretty cool. The film doesn’t come out until Summer 2010, so it’s still pretty early. I’m still interested in seeing more. How about you guys? Bookmark It Hide...

G.I. Joe HD Theatrical Movie Trailer

I was a bit concerned that with G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, we were going to get another forced attempt to take a fantastic toy license & shoe-horn it into a movie franchise. Now, I’m not convinced that this isn’t still the case, but after seeing the trailer, I don’t know that I care anymore. This movie looks like a wild ride with enough going on in it that I’ll be able to overlook any potential script/acting issues. Bookmark It Hide Sites

Sony Looking To Complete “Men In Black” Trifecta

Not a lot of info on this yet, but it is good to know it is being planned. Sony Pictures announced at their ShoWest presentation in Las Vegas yesterday that they are planning a 3rd film in their Men in Black franchise. Tommy Lee Jones & Will Smith stared in both the 1997 original & the 2002 sequel. No word on a storyline or if any of the cast will return for the third installment. In addition to that, Sony reconfirmed their plans for a forth Spider-Man film & a third Ghostbusters film. Bookmark It Hide Sites
